As an artist, I am, without a doubt, my greatest critic. It doesn’t help that I default to self-deprecating humor. I listen to my songs often and with a critical, but lazy, ear. I hear mistakes, poor mixing, and every wart you can imagine. In doing that, I’m also ranking my songs. I figured I should share what this ranking looks like.
The songs on this list are affected by a number of factors: recording quality, mistakes I hear, composition, mix, the writing and recording experience, and a whole host of completely subjective things. Art is subjective and I’ve definitely run into folks that like some of these songs more than I do. I think that is absolutely fantastic.
The fact that anyone listens to these songs and has one or more that they like has and will continue to leave me feeling absolutely amazed and beyond fortunate.
I will be following these pages for each album and the singles I’ve released.
This list is subject to change.
